Babies and children visit
What to bring: Red book
On your child’s first visit Dr Sally asks you to bring your child’s red book with you, this will ensure that she can gain a greater understanding of the first few hours/months of your infants’ life.
When arriving at our nurturing and child friendly clinic you will be asked to complete paperwork regarding your child’s general well being and why you have brought your child to the clinic.
Dr Sally will then discuss with you in depth your child’s;
- Milestones - this is the only window into how your child brain is growing
- Gross/fine motor skills
- Learning ability
- Speech
- General health
- Any other concerns you may have
Examination
Dr Sally will do a full;
- Examination of your child’s spine
- Neurological exam
- Chiropractic exam
- Orthopaedic exam
- Structural exam and;
- Visceral exam.
Each of these tests is very gentle, non-invasive and quick to perform. Most babies sleep through the examination process.
Dr Sally will then discuss your treatment options. These may include;
- Cranial work
- Specific chiropractic adjustment
- Massage
- A home-based neurologically exercise program
